Frontier 9.0: Site-Administration, part 1

In yesterday's Frontier 9.0 screenshot, we saw a list of sites installed on the server, with some information about the site. Today's screenshot shows the top of the site-level admin page for a single site. You get to this page by clicking a site's name in the list of sites on the server.

This page gives server managers an easy way to change a site's URL, enable or disable a site, or make the site private or public.

One of the most important functions is to configure a site for automatic backups. When backups are enabled, new or changed parts of a Manila site will be backed up nightly, and an email report is sent to the server manager listing the sites and number of parts that were backed up. You can also make an immediate backup. This feature is new in Frontier 9.0.

Hope in the face of tragedy

On 9/13/2001, I received an email through my mom and a friend, which brought tears to my eyes. It was written by a yound man by the name of Usman Farman, who was kind enough to let me and many others re-publish it. In the face of calamity and hatred, he sent a message of love:
My name is Usman Farman and I graduated from Bentley with a Finance degree last May. I am 21 years old, turning 22 in October; I am Pakistani, and I am Muslim, and I too have been victimized by this awful tragedy. The next time you feel angry about this, and perhaps want to retaliate in your own way, please remember these words:

"Brother, if you don't mind, there is a cloud of glass coming at us, grab my hand, lets get the hell out of here."
