Exponential growth of Blogosphere

Tim Jarrett has run some numbers based on the high water mark on Weblogs.Com, that suggest exponential growth of the Blogosphere. Check out this logarithmic graph of the high water mark since November 2001:

Tim says "we could be on the cusp of an exponential explosion in weblog activity, driven by the virtuous cycle of blogging: publish - subscribe - read - comment - publish."

In related news, Phil Wolff is running a service called blogcount that tracks various counts of weblogs. On Wednesday he noted that according to Blogómetro, there are more than twice as many Spanish language weblogs today than there were only six months ago.
