Oh, boy, I hope the terrorists don't try to take out Bill Gates Wednesday (MSNBC is reporting that there's a "high alert" out for something nasty to happen in the next day or two). He's speaking at the Marriott at the VSLIVE conference at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. I'll be on the lookout for terrorists. Matt Carter at Fawcette, tells me that they are webcasting the event (I'll post the links as soon as I know them). Those Winnov machines they use are pretty much bomb proof.

Hey, think they'd mind if I snuck in and did a little weblogging there? We'll see. Microsoft was handing out free passes to the Gates keynote and I got one.

I doubt the Gates event will be a big news generator since he's just announcing that .NET is shipping. I remember watching Steve Ballmer show off VB.NET publicly for the first time at the same conference two years ago. I'll probably drop in and see what's up.

Oh, I hear Rob Fahrni will be there. I think I'll drop by and learn some Visio tricks from him.

Joe Jennett: "I like this Radio Software, but it thinks it's my mother."

Dan Bricklin has photos from the Demo conference.

Reading all around the net today it's clear that there's a lot of people who are passionate about figure skating. Particularly Canadians who thought they were robbed last night in the Olympics.

I only know what I read online, but I was suprised to find Mary Wehmeier's weblog/rant. She says she's a former figure skater and judge and she has some interesting things to say about the competition and the results. Hey, and she's using Radio to boot!
