Simon Phipps is reporting a rumor that Pyra sold to Google for $295 million. Whoa, if that's correct, I'm the next Gary Kildall (I worked for Pyra competitor UserLand for a while as director of marketing). I gotta go to bed. Is this rumor correct? If so, wake up Merrill Chapman, I just wrote chapter 12 of "In Search of Stupidity" (that's the APress book about High-Tech Marketing Disasters that I'm currently reading).

Have a great weekend. Maryam and I are off to Silicon Valley to see Patrick and hang out with friends. On my way down there, I'm reading "In Search of Stupidity" by Merrill Chapman. So far, it's a great read of the world's high-tech marketing disasters.

Anytime I think I have it bad in America, all I need to do is read the current issue of National Geographic titled: 21st Century Slaves (link is only an excerpt).

Thanks to Jeffrey Zeldman for that link

Peter's Tablet PC-centric Weblog simply rocks. For instance, he points at ArtRage and he takes swipes at Microsoft too. What is better than that? Constructive criticism and cool links.
