> Rob Bender: Reverend Jim pretty much sums up my feelings about my own weblog. While in many ways I am proud of this site and enjoy chronicling my thoughts in public like this, there's definitely concerns about how it would be perceived by people I know and work with (in part why I haven't posted as much lately). When my big project went live, I did post a link to the website, but I took it down shortly afterwards for fear that this would show up in their webserver logs. I'm thinking of removing my name from this site (except maybe for an About Me page) so it wouldn't rank #2 on a Google search for my name.
[Heaven, Hell or Hoboken]

Is your weblog working for you or are you working for your weblog?

I have much more respect and dedicate far more time to reading weblogs when I think I know who the author is and can gauge their performance over time.

I expect the worst from anonymous weblogs.

This is not to say that there's no time or place for anonymous weblogs. They're just very different beasts and I think most people who seek anonymity do so with bad judgement.

If you feel the need to vent something that you're not willing to own up to, then maybe the web isn't the best place to do it. I'd suggest someplace more private.
