Back to basics: a i u e o, ka ki ku ke ko. I've just realized that if one's want to learn 2000 kanji, one per day, it would take 5 years and a half. Oootch. (Obviously it takes only one week to learn them all if you learn 285 kanji per day, but this is not an option for me )
