We are in the process of creating the Open Content Network, which aims to be the world's largest content delivery network (CDN). Users will soon be able to download open source and public domain software, movies, an d music at incredibly fast speeds from this global, distributed network.

Fireworks for offline .SWF generation?
One of the interesting thing is the Data Driven Graphics Wizard, that allows you to take an XML file and generate images from it (replacing placeholders in a template with the xml data), check this tutorial for an overview. I'm sure with a bit of coding this technique could be used for generating static .swf's offline.

C&W pulls the plug on its ASP services
Cable & Wireless quietly shut down its a-Services application hosting offering, due to underwhelming customer interest. ASP is about SERVICE, not Subscription or Applications.

Slashdot Article : Flash Privacy and Security misperceptions
Slashdot posted an article with concerns about privacy and security in the Flash player due to the players access to a user's camera, microphone and its ability to store data (via shared objects). Here is some information and links which will hopefully dispel some of the misperceptions in the original article and in some of the comments attached to the article...
