OASIS Announces Technical Committee for Web Services Security
OASIS has announced a Technical Committee for Web Services Security (WSS) designed to continue work on the Web services security foundations published in the WS-Security specification from IBM, Microsoft, and Verisign. WS-Security defines a standard set of Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) extensions, or message headers, that can be used to implement integrity and confidentiality in Web services applications.
