I have been thinking about the experiences and images I want to create for my child over the past couple of days. This has caused me to reflect on my childhood and things that I remember. This thinking has also spawned a new project for me. I am digitizing all of my baby pictures. I would like to get a hold of Shellie's baby pictures and digitize them to create a cross generational photo album for our child.
I would like to recreate some of the my most memorable photos for my child. This one of me on my grandfather's shoulder, which was taken in May of 1972, I would like to recreate with my dad and my child. I would also like to add some new ones like some professional black and white photos of Shellie and I with the baby and individuallly with the baby. I guess there will be time enough for this once the baby comes.
I am looking at some of my baby pictures and asking myself, "What was running through their heads?" when I see images of my parents. Of course, it was a different time and the world is much different place now.
