I have started a new section on my site- about my quest for tenure. This will probably be the only actual `blog-like' section of my site, the rest being a sort-of news clearing house for people interested in the same things I am.

It will most likely serve as a sort of therapy page more than anything else. To that end I am doing it a) for me, b) for those similarly situated, and c) for those out there completely unfamiliar with the processes of academia.

I certainly don't mean it as a `how-to' (because, you never know, I `might not'), but rather as a wee bit of insight. It is something I would have liked to read while in graduate school or before embarking on this path myself.
