i don't usually give out my weblog address to clients. why? many don't share the same interests or political views. i'm a democrat, and an environmentalist, but many of my clients are not. [santa fe is a town of strong opinions. oftentimes if a particular client finds out you don't recycle, you could lose them.] i'd rather not limit the scope of my market, nor would i like to lose existing clients over mere philosophy.

this has bothered me for a while, because i link so many items that could keep my clients better informed. virus warnings. software updates. general tech news.

this morning, at a client meeting, i had a flash. radio! set up an xml category called "client". anything that would be of interest, route it to that category. render as html, in a company template, set upstreaming to the company server.

it's an easy 'insulated' side benefit from personal blogging ... not just for client convenience, but making that dry company site a fresh, appealing entity.

simple, logical, beautiful.
