A ticket for my cellphone
I visited NYC this week. While driving down 2nd Avenue, I was pulled over by an NYPD officer (very professional) and given a ticket for using my cell phone while driving a vehicle. I have to assume that my rental car's Georgia plates had nothing to do with being pulled over. After receiving my ticket, I watched other drivers using their cell phones, as I made my way toward the mid-town tunnel. One driver, in a Range Rover, wore a baseball cap, hunched over (traffic was not moving very fast) and held his cell phone in front of his mouth as he carried on a conversation while driving. The Range Rover had New York plates.
I looked around quite a bit and found the Park Central in Mid-Town to be reasonable, clean and convenient this trip.
