Baseball's Mess

Non-Commissioner of Baseball Bud Selig - a true puppet of the owners who is the worst thing that has happened to this sport since the Black Sox Scandal - is showing his arrogant stupidity more clearly these days. But the players are only about 3 points smarter.

Selilg says in an AP wire story that as many as eight MLB teams can't survive another year or year and a half. He says he's tired of propping them up with loans from the league and lines of credit he's personally arranged. This is pure bull honkey and he knows it. The man wouldn't know an honest statement if it came up and bit him on the ass.

Six or eight teams might not survive with their present ownership but the franchises aren't going to fold and Bud Selig damn well knows it. This is crap. It's pure posturing. And it's time someone woke up and recognized what this imbecile is doing to the sport.

The players, on the other hand, aren't helping. They've announced they will probably have to take a vote and decide if they should strike in August. This despite MLB's promise not to lock them out or cause any other labor problems this year. "We have no choice," whined one of the multi-millionaire boys-in-pinstripes. Who the hell do these arrogant monkeys think they are? I backed them in the last labor stoppage. But if they unilaterally strike this season, I am through with baseball forever., Screw 'em.

This is disgusting.
