I'm Back - I Think
My apologies for my rather extended absence. My computer decided to stop connecting to the Internet last Thursday. I spent Friday trying to restore, then was gone over the weekend. On Monday, I reinstalled Windows XP over the existing installation, but that didn't help. I installed a new instance of Windows XP on a new hard drive, but could only connect to the web site of my ISP, not anything beyond their pages.
Finally, this afternoon, after having the service techs from my ISP come out and do something to the wireless connection (I've no idea what they did), I can connect. I've been rebuilding the system applications for the past hour and a half and I've a long way to go.
I'll try to get caught up with stuff over the holiday weekend, but my apologies for my absence. I wasn't even able to post an update anywhere on the page, because I couldn't connect at all.
Any way, I think I'm back online. Hopefully it will continue to work. There is much to catch up with.
