Scot Finnie's Newsletter
I cannot imagine how I've managed to not include a link to Scot Finnie's Newsletter here. His free once-every-other-week newsletter is a wonderful, informative batch of stories, recommendations, and tips for using computers and the Internet. Here's what Scot has to say about it:
Scot’s Newsletter covers Windows, broadband, do-it-yourself networking, Microsoft, and the Internet. You'll get insights, analysis, hardware and software reviews, explanations, tips, and straight-shooting advice about desktop computing issues today, and tomorrow. It's information about Windows and broadband you can really use.
He's right, in that he provides a lot of very useful information in each newsletter. Read the most recent version of his newsletter and see for yourself.

Blogchalking
From LockerGnome Windows Daily:
http://www.blogchalking.tk/
You may have heard in the news about something called war-chalking. War-chalking is set of symbols that are used to signify an open wireless network nearby. It got the name war-chalking because the first signs of this trend started as chalk symbols on the outside walls of a business. BlogChalking.tk is a set of symbols for marking a blog. In this case, the idea is to try to be able to find blogs from a certain region or country, or even a specific neighborhood. By adding the blogchalk code to your blog, you are enabling people to use search engines like Google or AltaVista to find your Web site using simple search codes. BlogChalking.tk is even pushing something called BlogChalking Reverse, which is just like war-chalking in that you use the set of symbols to find a nearby blogger. The difference between BlogChalking and BlogChalking Reverse is that BlogChalking Reverse is a set of offline signs that let people know that there is a blogger that lives or works nearby. I don't know that I want people potentially stalking me, but I do like the idea of community, so I guess it ends up as just a matter of which is more important to me. [BS]
