GnomeDex 3.0

The web site for GnomeDex 3, July 25-26 in Des Moines, Iowa, is up.  No speaker listings yet, but that will come soon.  The first two were well worth the time and cost and I suspect the third one will be as well.

Dumb Moments in Business

Business 2.0 magazine published their list of the 101 Dumbest Moments in Business for 2002 in their April edition.  It takes a while to read through all 101, but it is worth the time.

My favorites were number 6:

Soon after a summer stock plunge, Chris Whittle, CEO of Edison Schools (EDSN), suggests a unique solution to stanch his company's bleeding: Have Edison students put in an hour of free work per day.

and 23, which was just a dumb typographical error, but it made me laugh nonetheless.

Thanks to the toil of 47 diligent editorial staffers, Business 2.0 puts out its "Novemer" issue.

I also like an organization that isn't afraid to poke fun at itself.

Thanks to LockerGnome Tech Specialist for the link.
