okay, i'm done with troubleshooting for now. i've updated the discussion forum, and i'll email the tool author with my findings.

do we have a winner? did this tool break upstreaming?
7:23:36 PM

wow! thanks to userland for great support.

as you can see, i temporarily lost connectivity to the cloud and couldn't upstream earlier today.

lawrence and another helpful discussion forum reader offered to help, and presto-chango, it's now working.

actually, i should have checked the 3rd party tools more carefully before bugging the list, but hindsight and all....

i'll post the offending tool in a moment. it's probably a stale version or something i've done, so don't take any pointer to a tools as a condemnation of the tool.

keep those tools coming, guys and gals.

Is the cloud updating for me?

Okay, I have Bill Bumgarner's RadioService.app menu item working now. The post below was made from TextEdit.app locally.

Thank's Bill!

This is a test of the RadioService service.

If you use an instant messaging client on OSX you really should look at Fire.app by Eric Peyton.

Fire allows you to connect to all manner of Instant Messaging servers including AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ. There are others, IRC and Jabber, but I only use the four mentioned above.

I've been frustrated for the past two weeks, 'cause the yahoo client of fire was really unstable for me. I couldn't maintain a connection, and everytime I sent or received a message, Yahoo would disconnect me. It claimed that my session had expired, generally stopped working immediately thereafter. I tried the CVS developer releases, compiling several daily builds, without luck as well.

Well, thanks to Chad I know it's not Fire's or my fault.

Thanks to Eric Peyton, AND the host of others that support and maintain Fire.app. It's a really integral part of my daily computing experience.
