promise: at the next election I will only choose among candidates who has a weblog and is actively using it, preferably without the influence of spin doctors.
I have this scenario in mind: you do the initial research for the election, and find 10-20 worthy candidates, add their weblogs to your rss reader and start reading their weblogs at least the last two months before the election, whenever a politician publishes an unacceptable idea/point of view, the persons rss feed is removed. hopefully I'll end up with just a couple of weblogs at the day of election - although I'm afraid I'll end up with zero. not only is this an improvement of the knowledge upon your representative in the Folketing is elected, it is also a major blow to the current role of parties - which currently limits the diversity and representativeness of the Folketing.
