June is my last month as Vice President of the Campus Community Association (CCA). It was an easy task, agree with the president and fill in for the secretary when needed. Being foolish, I took on another job for the neighborhood. This one will require alot more effort.
Starting in July, I am the Editor of the CCA's Advisor, the neighborhood newsletter. I have large shoes to fill.
I have been out of journalism for nearly the life of the Advisor. The Advisor's long history started in 1975, while my flirt with journalism was 1977 to 1979 with the Homestead Epitaph.
But, I have always been drawn to journalism. It has a simple language. It has a cleaner and clearer vocabulary. It is writing to be understood.
So now I have to be understood. This is a tough order, I hope that I am up to it.
