Radio Performance
I tried changing Radio's priority in OS X using the Change Priority AppleScript to see if it would improved performance. If it did, the improvement was only marginal. It still takes 8 seconds to render this home page.
The particulars are that I am running Radio 8.0.4 and OmniWeb 4.0.6 on Mac OS 10.1.2. My system is a 450Mhz G4 with 512MB RAM. My 8 second results are with Radio, OmniWeb, PowerMail, and iTunes running. I have 7 threads running in Radio.
Not sure if any of this is helpful. But I would love to figure out how to make the local Radio server a bit more snappy. As is, it is on par or a little slower than connecting to a Manila server over DSL.
