NEXT "ONE WAY COUPLET" MEETING FEBRUARY 28 Preserving and maintaining the expressway style couplet design continues to frustrate the creation of a "destination downtown" environment. With 60% of north/south couplet traffic is just cutting through our city without stopping, shopping, dining, or even saying hello to San Jose, converting the couplets now would be a 100% improvement for our downtown neighborhoods and businesses. It's time to send the cut through traffic back to the freeways where it belongs.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the next Downtown Access and Circulation Study meeting being held on Thursday, February 28th. Light dinner will be provided at 5:30 p.m. and Call to Order is at 6:00 p.m. Location TBD. These meetings will help determine the future fate of the one way couplets.
