Celebrating the Past and Future of Flight
Saturday May 10, 2003
Plane parade begins at 9:00 a.m. (Museum opens at 10:00 a.m.)
One hundred years ago, two unknown bicycle makers took to the skies at Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, and transformed our world forever. With the Wright brothers' remarkable achievement, we were no longer bound to the earth. Join The Tech, NASA Ames Research Center, Lockheed Martin, Hiller Aviation Museum, Wings of History Museum, and others as we pay homage to the great aviators and astronauts of the last century, and spark the curiosity of the next generation of explorers. Free with paid gallery admission.
