On Sunday 10/5/03 from 8 AM until 10 AM, Naglee Park Plus Mom & Dad Group will be having a fund raising pancake breakfast to purchase a new fire bell for Engine 8 on South 17th and Santa Clara Street. This is the busiest station in San Jose and they will support all of downtown when called upon. The bell can be viewed on http://www.yogainunion.com and fits in front of the truck low enough for little hands to reach up and ring the bell. The bell costs approximately $500. We will have the breakfast in front of Engine 8 and Walgreens. Bring a blanket or lounge chair to sit on and please walk rather than drive & park. Donation is $10 per person and kids under 10 eat free. Come and meet the fire fighters of Engine 8, play on the fire truck, flip a few pancakes, and hang out with your fellow downtown neighbors!
