5 years after United Artists sneaked out of town one Saturday night, the old UA 6 movie theater is reborn as Camera Cinema 12. Even though it is nice to have mainstream movies playing again downtown and the Camera Cinema folks are locals who are not likely to leave, I will miss the old UA 6.
In its last two years of operation, the UA 6 was the only theater in the south bay where you could see first run movies without waiting in line. Michele and I saw the Star Wars episode 1 with 6 other people in theater.
