For reasons too boring to go into here, I rode home in a stretch limo this evening. I was the only passenger at the time, so I was sitting up near the driver, chatting with him.

Apparently, among limo drivers, the euphemism "carburetor trouble" is what they use to describe the motion that the limo gets when the people in back start to, ummm, party seriously.

If you ever get a chance to talk to a limo driver, do it. They have the most interesting stories.

Yeah, it's been a while.

I'm such a geek. I got the equipment I needed to get satellite TV. Hooked it up, acquired the satellite, ran all the wire, got it working. Worked great. And now, since there's nothing left to do but sit on my butt and watch passively, I'm vaguely dissappointed. I wish there was more to do.

Launched rockets last Sunday. We'd arranged a waiver from the FAA to go to 3000', but the cloud cover topped out at about 1200', so it didn't matter. Technically, it's illegal to launch a rocket into the clouds, since you have no idea what's up there. Practically, you don't want to do it anyway, because it's an easy way to lose a rocket.

We had only one major failure -- a large model of a Patriot failed to pop it's chute, and core sampled. Went into the ground about a foot deep. For the most part, though, it was a lot of fun. Once again, the best flights were from the Saturn V model. It has such a majestic lift off.

More writing later.
