Happy New Year and all that. 2004 had it's ups and downs. Most of the up's were personal achievements, most of the downs were external events, and certainly all of the previous down's were exceeded and superseded by the SE Asian Tsunami.

My wife works for the Seattle chapter of the American Red Cross, and they've been swamped with phone calls and donations.

But besides that, I've been writing code, and playing poker -- more of the latter than the former, I hasten to add somewhat embarrassingly.
