the scanner is working, but the epson software (os9) is really mediocre. 7:08:27 PM     the new Davies' pictureGallery.ftsc does not install in RU8.0.4b2: "Can't import to workspace.["Web Services"] because the table doesn't exist"? now trying a macro... The current date and time: 3/1/02; 9:16:44 PM. 2:59:07 PM     yesterday i sent my siggraph submission, installed a memory stick card reader and returned the sony 707 for its lack of suitable white balance accuracy and control (impossible to get white paper backgrounds to show as white: a major problem when doing drawings shots). next i shall install Hope's epson 1600 scanner which i can have for the ten days to experiment with. 12:21:17 PM     many frequent new RU updates installed --but not explored... the 8.0.4 install instructions do not specify where Frontier.protocols.fttb should be moved to. in some ways RU is like a violin: a fine instrument with awsome, wide ranging, beautiful capabilities, for one who does not know how to play it and can't read sheet music! 12:04:32 PM
