The sewage ejector unit is now hooked up up and working. The only water
that drains into it at this point isn time is the condensation from the central air unit for the house. However even that is enough to realize that the unit will be very quiet while it is purging its contents into the main sewer line. I had worried that the unit would be loud,; as it turns out being buried in packed clay with a 4" slab of concrete on top is enough to dampen the sound from it. Even standing next to the unit it is barely within my hearing range when it is purging water. It is totally silent otherwise.
Darkroom HVAC, of which lack of progress has plagued me all year, has a new lead technician. He is an HVAC consultant from Chapel Hill, with experience heating and cooling basements. We met for about four hours last week and discussed many details of the darkroom heating-cooling-ventialtion system.
