California Weekly Hay Report

Southern California: FOB Barn/Stack: 17,910 Tons Delivered: 4,450 Compared to last week, Premium and Supreme Alfalfa mostly 5.00 higher, with clippings changing prices every other day. Demand good, supplies light and most supplies bought as soon as hay is in the stack. Fair and Good Alfalfa, steady to 5.00 higher. Demand moderate, dairies showing more interest, supplies moderate. Retail and stable hay steady. Demand moderate and supplies moderate. Exporters still not interested in adding to present inventories. Black aphid still a problem. Almost perfect weather conditions for putting up new hay, however there is a threat of rain this weekend and on into next week.
