Southern California: FOB Barn/Stack: 39,269 Tons Delivered: 6,950
Compared to last week, Premium and Supreme not well tested, not
enough to establish accurate trend, demand is good, supplies light to
non existent. Fair and Good Alfalfa steady to 5.00 lower, demand
light to moderate, supplies heavy. Some producers holding hay, others
having to sell to make rent and/or water payments. Retail and stable
hay steady to 5.00 lower in the southern desert, mostly steady in
Antelope Valley and most is going in the barn for winter take out.
Exporters somewhat active, most attention is being paid toward Sudan
hay.
