California Weekly Hay Report
Southern California: FOB Barn/Stack: 20,097 Tons Delivered: 2,325
Compared to last week, Premium and Supreme Alfalfa not tested.
Fair and Good Alfalfa mostly steady. Demand light, however more
interest shown for anything that looks more like fall hay. Supplies
moderate to heavy. Retail and stable hay steady to firm. Demand
moderate. Supplies moderate, producing higher quality product now.
Weather has cooled off, which should help in making higher
quality hay over all. Season coming to a close, as far as production
of new hay is concern. Tonnage being produced from fields getting
smaller all the time. Interest from exporters light.
