We have lots of lizards here. I saw this critter outside my window & snapped lots of pictures until I was able to get this one. |

Feds balk when laptops walk. The Justice Department chastises the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration for "a lack of accountability" in keeping track of laptops. At least 400 are missing, lost or stolen. [CNET News.com]
Hmm... if they were using ComputracePlus they could cut down on theft & locate the missing laptops. |

I just got back from the optometrist. He told me I have nothing to worry about. A few days I suddenly developed a "floater" that looks like a bunch of dark fibers floating around in my right eye. He said it will probably go away or become less noticeable after a few weeks, and there's no sign of a detached retina or any other problems. 1:21:15 PM |

I discovered that MetroWerks' standard libraries don't understand Unix-style paths in CFM projects. When I call fopen("/Library/Preferences/com.absolute.settings","w+b") it creates a file called /Library/Preferences/com.absolute.settings in the current directory. When I converted my project to Mach-O, it worked correctly.
I should probably be using CFPreferences to get the proper path, although my settings file isn't a standard XML preferences file. |
