There are two good answers to the interview question, "How would you test such-and-such?" The first good answer describes the techincal details involved in testing, such as tools you would use, which boundary conditions are relevant, etc.
The second good answer is the question "For what reason am I testing this?" Testing a prototype is different than testing a beta candidate is different than testing a release candidate, is different than testing a COTS product is different than testing a regulated product. 12:07:12 PM Weekend Treat Sourdough Pancakes.
