Happy Memorial Day!

We visited Pine Grove Cemetery today. I was glad to see all of the decorated graves. I was struck by a number of things there. One thing was that there were a LOT of people that were buried. Another thing was that nearly all of the information I saw for nearly all of them was simply their name, birthdate and date they died. Who were all of those people? One more thing that struck me is that Pine Grove doesn't have any Pine trees.

We went to see Maureen's relatives grave sites. It was very peaceful there.

We also stopped to see our grave sites where our bodies will eventually be buried. My wife (Maureen) and I are Christians. We know that we will both be in heaven, by the grace of God through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. It looks like a nice place to leave my body when I've physically died.

Days like today make you think about your life. I don't want to just be known as a name, birthday and physical death day on a rock.

We gave Maureen's mother (Helen) a Yankee Flipper. We've charged it up, hung it up in the front yard and are waiting for a squirrel...

If you want to learn how to play an instrument, Home Spun Tapes has a lot of tapes, videos and CDs on how to get started with a lot of different instruments.
