Who am I?
Who am I? (this is a much harder question that you might expect, try to answer it yourself)I am:
- a Christian - Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. I believe in God. Jesus Christ is the son of God. Jesus was crucified and died for the forgiveness of sin.
- married - I have a wonderful wife: Maureen who means the world to me. We've been married for over sixteen years.
- a member of New Hope Chapel - our church.
- an American.
- a vegetarian. All life is precious to me. This extends to the food I eat. I will stop and help turtles across the road.
- a software developer for BlueSocket who cares about doing my job the right way. Developing software is hard work - I'm just glad I found the right job for me way back in high school.
- living in New England with my beautiful wife (Maureen), five Birman cats (Lacy, O'Fleur, Teddy, Toute and Rapunzel) and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs (Sam and Caroline).
- one child of six (me, Donna, Chris, Jen, Joshua and Elizabeth) with wonderful parents. My mother and father are the greatest parents in the world.
- blessed with generally good health - aside from details like asthma and allergies.
- a technology geek - I'm interested in many things. It's hard to keep up with technology now as I'm just plain busy.
- constantly learning and sharing. I'm glad to be learning and sharing everything that I know.
- sharing anything I can - this is why I'm involved in recording our Sunday services on my iBook and giving away CDs of the service. I just like giving away what I can to help folks.
- a part of a Christian fellowship group that meets every first and third tuesday morning (6:30am) and is from New Hope Chapel.
- dedicating a devotion to God everyday. We're working on the details of our devotion now - I've changed jobs recently and the change hasn't quite settled our devotion time yet. We need to get this straight very soon.
- praying for my sister Jen and her husband Chris to reconcile their seperation from our family. Please pray for them.
- praying for my sister Elizabeth for guidance and wisdom for her situation.
- praying for our troops in foreign countries. Iraq is personal to me - our pastor Steve is there. We pray for all of their safe returns soon.
I like:
- Thinking. Many people seem to have serious problems with simple thoughts.
- Playing games - Dungeons and Dragons (once a month with the same group of friends for over ten years), video games (any Final Fantasy video game and nearly any video game from SquareSoft, Bust-a-Move)
- Toys - big and little - like the ReplayTV (think whizzy VCR with a disk drive and much more) or a webcam for my office to legos for when kids visit my office.
- to read - science fiction by authors like Spider Robinson and Robert Heinlein. We read part of the Bible nearly everyday in our morning devotion. I'm also reading other Christian books - like all of C. S. Lewis's writings.
- Lighthouses and seeing the ocean.
- Digital photography and sharing our pictures.
- Ben & Jerry, brownies and apple pie.
- to give. Daisies, knowledge, time, effort, support, love.
I was:
- born and raised near Pittsburgh, PA
- a Roman Catholic.
- part of a Birman cattery with my wife for over ten years. It was a lot of fun and we met many amazing people who we are still friends with today.
