The shift in the computer help at Synapse seems like it is almost complete. Gaba has asked me to have Ian Jardine and his crew completely phased in for the end of summer. What I suspect that Gaba may not know is how much more expensive things are going to get. As long as I can get out cleanly I will be quite happy.

Just before the weekend (well, OK, Thursday night), I went to a VSO benefit concert. Richard Margison was singing at this. I had seen him once before about 2 years ago at a concert - that event has remained firmly in my memory since.

This time, he did a couple of arias. INCREDIBLE! If there was ever a single moment that could turn one into an opera fan, it was this. His voice and treatment of the songs moved me!

Spent the weekend in Long Beach with Ren's family. It was great to get away; our place was out of cell phone range and we did not have a phone. Strangely, the thing that I ended up doing the most was sleeping. I slept 12 hours a night. It was great.
