North American Research on Academic Integrity Facilitator: Don McCabe, Rutgers University Date: Friday, September 19, 2003 Time: 9:00 - 11:00 am Location: Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies As the first fall term event in our on-going exploration of issues related to Academic Integrity, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Don McCabe, Professor of Organization Management at Rutgers University. Over the last twelve years he has done extensive research on college cheating and he has now surveyed over 50,000 students at more than 75 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. He has also conducted a nationwide survey of high school students in the United States. His work has been published widely in business, education and sociology journals and he is founding president of the Center for Academic Integrity, a consortium of over 300 colleges and universities who are joined in a united effort to promote academic integrity among college and university students. Dr. McCabe will discuss his work Don has a B.A. in Chemistry from Princeton University (1966), an M.B.A. in Marketing from Seton Hall University (1970), and a Ph.D. in Management from New York University (1985).
