Last night I had a message on the machine from Laura Bush.
Previously I had one from Dubya himself. They are really,
really, anxious for Floridians to request absentee ballots and to vote
early. I mean REALLY, REALLY! A few months ago the mailings
started recommending that we all request absentee ballots. Just
got one yesterday from Bill Young telling me how important it is to
vote early. What's up with that? Are they afraid of
something? What's wrong with voting on election day using the new
touch screen machines?
