Jim Roepcke points to Tapestry, a Java Web component framework. ZOË is moving to Tapestry from WebObjects, which is as good an endorsement as any. I'm not doing Java web application stuff any more, but if I were, I'd definitely give it a good look. 11:53:55 PM | reply []

If you use Fink, you must follow these instructions in order to upgrade to a 10.2 compatible version or you will experience bizarre problems (I did). 11:48:51 PM | reply []

Yijia's new website has been up for weeks and she didn't mention it... puts mine to shame organizationally.

Daniel Ericsson saw my entry from a few days ago about my inability to get Hawaiian displayed in Jaguar. He pointed me to UniVal, a utility he wrote to encode Unicode into HTML entities.

If you are subscribing to this Weblog via its RSS feed, please change the URL from http://radio.weblogs.com/0100148/rss.xml to http://web.sabi.net/log/rss.xml. Yes, I realize none of the automatic links point there yet, but they will when I figure out how to do so. For months, I've been having issues upstreaming to UserLand's server, but I can much more reliably rsync to my account at pair, where web.sabi.net is hosted. So, the radio.weblogs.com copy may go days before showing an update. 11:41:06 PM | reply []
