Hunting 'longevity genes'. A Boston company is looking for the genes it thinks help people live
to a 100 years of age. [BBC News: sci/tech] They may not find anything that is found in every 100 year old, then what? Then again there may be common genes. It's worth looking into.

Winter Olympics 'face climate risk'. US conservationists say future Winter Olympics may be at risk in a
warmer world. [BBC News: sci/tech] While I agree we are seeing global warming, I think their attitude is a bit alarmist. Besides there will be much more important consequences than fewer sites to host the Winter Olympics if global warming gets as far as they are predicting.
