The CDC reports a new low for the number of measles cases in the US. This is great news. To me it means two things.
- The vaccine program works. (Most states have laws that require children who enter kindergarten to be vaccinated.)
- People are ignoring the so called "experts" that claim vaccines are harmful and children should not get them.
Measles is a serious illness. It is still endemic in many countries and results in approximately 800,000 deaths per year. One this that was very interesting, 62% of the cases were imported, with the highest number coming from Japan. I country where their is some resistance to vaccination.

Web rage hits the internet. Hitting the keyboard and even a colleague are some of the ways people
deal with frustration about the web. [BBC News: sci/tech] This one made me laugh. People really have to chill out. IF a site ticks you off, don't do back.I bet the biggest rage comes from sites you have to use that don't work well.
