Using the net to catch junk mail. A Napster-like network might be able to stem the tide of spam mail messages flooding the internet. [BBC News: sci/tech] This is the end of spam if the company that made it doesn't want too much money.

Galaxy 'may hold Earth-like planets'. British scientists say there may be a billion Earth-like planets in our own galaxy, the Milky Way. [BBC News: sci/tech] So what do the creationists say to this? If there really are a billion Earth-like planets with water, it's becoming clear from astrobiology that many of them will likely have microbes. If microbes exist on these planets, then eventually higher life forms could evolve. Are their other sentient beings. It almost seems impossible that there are not.
