Pesticide 'causes frogs to change sex'. A common weedkiller is blamed for global decline of amphibians after
lab tests suggest it seems to cause male frogs to change sex. [BBC News: sci/tech] If this is true it would solve a mystery that scientists have puzzled about for years. Why are frog populations declining. This should be easy to test in the wild. If atrazine is causing a problem, there should be a coorelation between the number of female frogs and the concentration of atrazine in each area.
