Scientists turn skin cells into nerves. Norwegian researchers manage to "re-program" skin cells, turning
conventional wisdom on its head in the process. [BBC News: sci/tech] More progress is being made on stem cells and reprogramming of cells. The day is coming when it will be possible to grow new organs to replace defective ones. If you are interested the research article is on-line.

Eminem CD could be 'pirate proof'. Eminem's eagerly awaited album is set to be embedded with technology
to prevent it being copied and distributed on the internet. [BBC News: sci/tech] The recording industry says they are adding copy protection to "protect the artists". How humanitarian of them. As if the profits they stand to loose to copying are not what they are really concerned about. I can tell you what will happen if they add it to the CD. People either won't buy it or they will circumvent the protection and they will end up loosing much more money than that which is pirated.
