It is remarkable that one state is determined to turn the clock back a few centuries. [...] They seem bent on destroying the futures of their children. I would think admissions boards for top ranked colleges would think a few times about admitting students from a state that teaches pseudoscience. I can also imagine literate parents avoiding the state for fear of having their kids get a substandard education. [tingilinde] Biotechnology and healthcare are viewed now as crucial areas for economic growth and employment. Much of current biomedical research depending on (comparative) genomics, which can only be understood evolutionarily. Students applying to competitive colleges like Penn seek bio-related study the same way their peers in the late 90s sought computing-related subjects. Do Georgian politicians understand that they are making it less likely that their young people will participate in this growth?
