Rogers Cadenhead: "Raymond kept all 150,000 of his open source tulip bulbs through April 2002, his last month on the VA Linux board." [Scripting News] I'm posting this not for its specific content, but rather for the ironic choice of Google-served ads on the right-hand side of the page. Time for Google to start deploying some sentiment analysis?

My friend Andrew showed me recently all the cool features of his new Nokia 6600 phone, especially Bluetooth networking with his PowerBook. On the Acela from DC to Philadelphia yesterday, a woman speaking (loudly) on her cellphone signed off with "I'm going back to my iPod". What if a new iPod model had Bluetooth and could talk to a Bluetooth phone? The phone could ring through the iPod. A new kind of iPod headset with a mike could be used for calls as well as music. You'd be listening to your music, calls could come in, music would pause, and you would talk. On hangup, music would continue. It would be cool if all my gadgets played nice with each other.
