Comissão Europeia: domínio da PT é um entrave à concorrência em Portugal: A Comissão Europeia alertou hoje que a posição dominante da Portugal Telecom (PT) constitui um entrave à concorrência do mercado das telecomunicações nacional, sobretudo no acesso à Internet em banda larga. Translation: The European Commission warned today that the dominant market position of Portugal Telecom (PT) obstructs competition in the Portuguese telecom market, especially for broadband. [...] In 2005, PT controlled 85% of the ADSL market and 785 of the overall broadband market. [...] The Comission claims that the government regulator Anacom should be more active, even though they have increased their role in the last few years [...] "New entrants argued that Anacom was reluctant to impose meaningful fines on PT, even when PT did not obey Anacom decisions."
