This kind of stuff just reeks of tabloid journalism. Tabloid journalism does more to distort people's thoughts about science than most anything else. I love this quote:
he animals are believed to be the first commercially-viable creatures made from the DNA of two species.
We do this all the time. This article was written to increase the 'creepy' factor since people have a fear of spiders. Now, if it talked about the effect of these changes on the health of the goat, that would be one thing. But to call it a 'Spidergoat' displays a misunderstanding of the science. 3:06:55 PM
