Noting Dave Winer's post about Jim Roepke losing his job the day before his son was born. It is a tough world out there, all right. I'm also looking for work; I was laid off from my job in September, and have been consulting with the same company since then, on a part time basis.
So any leads are welcome. My resume his here, on my (slow) server at home. I've been doing mostly SQL Server stuff for the last three years, written and maintained an awful lot of SQL, and written a fair amount of Cold Fusion and Perl. I'm not as adept at Frontier and AppleScript as I once was, but I can make things happen in any of them.
