The Last Cargo Cult: Fascinating update on the cargo cult phenomenon. If there's anything stranger that people do than religions, I'm hard pressed to name it. It's shortly after dawn on February 15th on the remote island of Tanna in the South Pacific. The oppressive humidity and heat of the rainy season is already building, the pigs and chickens are slowly stirring, and - as on every February 15th for the last 45 years - one of the world's strangest religious ceremonies is about to take place.
